Take this route if

You want Intel, NVIDIA, Applied Materials or a data-centre thermal role. In Israel this is arguably the highest-paying direct application of a mechanical degree, and the pipeline from these courses to those jobs is short.

What you need before it starts

Fluid mechanics 1, Heat transfer, Thermodynamics 1 and Mechanics of solids 1. The CFD lab needs the first two and nothing else.

Where it lands you

Thermal engineer, cooling architect, CFD engineer, heat-exchanger designer. For research it points at convective transport, two-phase cooling and computational thermofluids.

What will bite

Fluid mechanics 2 is not on this route. If you want the turbulence and boundary-layer theory behind what the solver is doing, add it in the third-year spring and drop something from the final spring.
