CFD engineer
Computational fluid dynamics, applied to anything with a fluid in it. One of the highest-demand simulation roles in Israel and one where a portfolio genuinely substitutes for experience.
What the work actually is
You build and run flow simulations: mesh, boundary conditions, turbulence model, convergence, and then a verification and validation argument that the result means something. The solver is the easy part. Choosing k-ε over k-ω SST, and knowing what that choice does to your answer, is the job.
Depending on where you land it is electronics cooling, external aerodynamics, turbomachinery, a combustion chamber or blood flow through a stent. The method is the same and the physics is not, which is why the fluids courses matter more than the software.
You will spend real time on mesh quality and on explaining to a designer why their geometry cannot be simulated as drawn.

What prepares you
Fluid mechanics 2 gives you the turbulence and boundary-layer theory the solver is approximating. Heat and mass transfer covers everything thermal. The CFD lab is where you actually run it, and the projects from that lab are interview material on their own. Gas dynamics only matters if you are going compressible, but if you are, it is not optional.
